Product Overview

Alumatec™ Brazing Alloys are aluminum-silicon wires produced to EN and AWS specifications. Available in flux core (FC) and solid wire versions, they serve both manual torch brazing and furnace assembly operations. The flux core versions carry the flux internally, eliminating the need for a separate flux application step in many configurations.

Pre-formed Alumatec™ Rings are produced from flux core wire to custom inside diameter and wire gauge specifications, enabling precise filler metal placement on tube ends, fittings, and manifold ports before furnace or torch brazing.

Key Features

  • Flux core (FC) variants eliminate separate flux application
  • Solid wire option for use with separately applied flux systems
  • Meets EN 573 / AWS A5.8 BAl-Si alloy specifications
  • Wire diameter range: 1.4 mm to 2.4 mm
  • Rings: custom ID from 4 mm to 50 mm, ±0.50 mm tolerance
  • Flux core content: 10–26% by weight
  • Al-Si 12% (BAl-Si4) — tightest liquidus for precision joints
  • Al-Si 10% (BAl-Si5) — slightly wider active range
