Alumatec™ Flux — Overview

Alumatec™ flux products serve two distinct applications within the same family: FBX paste grades for manual flame brazing, and Turbulator Flux grades for automated furnace brazing in tube fin assemblies. Both are based on non-corrosive KAlF₄ chemistry and are available with or without Cesium Fluoride enhancement.

The Turbulator Flux is specifically formulated for auto-dispense application onto fins and turbulators before furnace brazing, ensuring precise coverage with minimal waste.

Alumaflo™ Flux — Overview

⚠ Corrosive Flux — Alumaflo products are chloride-based corrosive fluxes. Post-braze cleaning is mandatory to prevent corrosion. For non-corrosive furnace applications, use Alumatec™ grades.

Alumaflo corrosive fluxes offer a wider active temperature range (450–572°C) making them suitable for flame brazing applications where precise temperature control is not possible. Available as paste (manual and auto-dispense) or 100% powder for dip and torch application.
